delicious mutton gravy recipe

Certainly! Here's a simple and delicious mutton gravy recipe for you

Ingredients:

500g mutton, cut into pieces
2 large onions, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
3 tablespoons cooking oil
Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Instructions:

Marination:

Wash the mutton pieces thoroughly and drain the water.
In a bowl, combine the mutton with half of the ginger-garlic paste, half of the red chili powder, turmeric powder, and a little salt.
Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking the Mutton:

Heat oil in a pressure cooker or a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat.
Add the marinated mutton and sauté until the meat turns brown on all sides. This will help seal in the juices and flavor.
Remove the mutton from the pot and set it aside.
Onion-Tomato Base:

In the same pot, add a bit more oil if needed.
Add the chopped onions and sauté until they become golden brown.
Flavorful Spices:

Add the remaining ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
Spice Powders:

Lower the heat and add the remaining red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala.
Cook the spice mixture for a couple of minutes, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
Cooking Mutton Gravy:

Return the browned mutton to the pot and mix well with the spice mixture.
Add about 1-2 cups of water, depending on how thick you want the gravy to be.
Season with salt, cover the pot, and cook the mutton on medium-low heat until it becomes tender. If using a pressure cooker, cook for about 15-20 minutes after the first whistle.
Finishing Touches:

Once the mutton is cooked, check the consistency of the gravy. If it's too thick, you can add a little more water.
Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves.
Serving:

Your delicious mutton gravy is ready to be served! It pairs well with rice, roti, naan, or paratha.
Enjoy your homemade mutton gravy! Remember, you can adjust the spice levels and ingredients according to your taste preferences.
